I have been in practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker/Psychotherapist since 1983, the first half in Los Angeles, and then moved to San Clemente, California. This life's work has always been a joyful labor of love. Retiring has led to a path of creating new endeavors; therefore, this website will be a work in progress.
I believe many of us are on a similar journey to find basic security, purpose, and fulfillment. I am grateful for many meaningful relationships and experiences. I strive for courage to face challenges and wisdom to know when to let go (but never give up)! In the words of psychologist and Holocaust survivor Viktor Frankl: "When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves." If I practice this well enough, I am okay.
As a therapist, I have endeavored to understand with attention and compassion the issues that bring a person in. I have offered my knowledge, skills, and experience to help others discover their own unique approach to healing and growth. Another favorite Viktor Frankl quote is ”The last of the human freedoms is the ability to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one's own way." The wisdom in these words resonates deeply.
